here is a tribute to Victor Simonelli mix I did last week on Jerry Flores weekly internet show on insoulwetrust.com . The 1st 35 minutes are all Viictors productions. The show is on every Saturday from 6-8 pm pacific time. Victor was in LA last week to DJ for Doc Martin party. He is one of the nicest dj's I have met and he played alot of his classics which made my night .

I was gonna say. The first Time I heard it, DJ Rush dropped it at Normandy's- down the street from Medusa's. I can't recall what others were doing, but the shit had me snapping. Them Mavis samples are just plain crazy!

Funny thing is I wasn't really into that place until 93. We discovered Sundays at the warehouse cause the crew I kicked it with, never had real jobs, back then. I was a Clubhouse reg before that.

Man,that spot was crazy, from 91-93.INSANE system.A dope mixture of new and classic tunes. The shit was live as fuck.2 of the best parties there ever,IMO,was the Halloween joint Frankie played in 91 and the Ron Hardy tribute party, after he passed.

I used to hit the Clubhouse on weds hard myself.

Hell, how I got constantly stayed up on the new shit was by hitting the loft jams up north and the gay spots.

Thurs. and sats. were the hottest nites at the Warehouse. We also used to hit up weds. for the cheap drink nite.Sundays used to be cool also,if you didn't want to deal with the joint on the packed nites.

One of my guys I grew up with was a bouncer there,so we used to be up in
    there real deep.

I don't know. When they first opened, we used just pull up and listen to what was being played. That was in 1990, I think. I used to hangout with the 'Deep House equals Disco' crowd, then. It wasn't until Ron Hardy Played there, before he passed, That I stepped foot in there. We assumed it was B96-ish.

How I hate when this shit happens!! Im embarrassed to say this is a first hear for me.

I was in the Army 89 to late 93 and missed out on every cut between this time. I was in Germany more than half the time so you think I could've caught up. Nope. They had some nice spots both on and off base (Frankfurt,Munich,Darmstadt,Worms,K-town)but these would be in your bigger towns.

I was in the country where cats still rocked lederhosen, and small ass caps with feathers in them on a daily basis.

I assume this was a low period for dance music overall due to hiphop and other factors because when they do come up for the most part I dont have problems finding them.

    Thanks Tab.
