"There are Web-based communities with members who should probably never meet in the real world, but for the regulars at DeepHousePage.com, getting together is essential. Inspired by and largely concerned with the legendary club-scene eras in Chicago and New York, the site maintains forums for discussion of house and disco parties long past, hypes upcoming events, posts rare original flyers from events at the Bismarck Pavilion and A.K.A., and highlights interviews with the likes of Chip E. and Craig Alexander. Members can also link to their own DJ mixes. The most potent feature is the library of mixes that DHP maintains: One can stream a Tony Humphries mix from 1982 or a Larry Heard set from last year. -By John Dugan, TimeOut Chicago"

Growing up in Chicago, Torin was influenced by the city's legendary House music scene. Beginning as a DJ in the early eighties, Torin was introduced to House Music in its infancy, absorbing the rhythm and the groove at such renowned Chicago nightspots as The Warehouse, C.O.D., The Powerhouse, and The Gallery. Reflecting on the early days, "I was definitely influenced by DJ's and Producers like Frankie Knuckles, Ron Hardy, Jere McAllister and Steve "Silk" Hurley." In fact, in 1992 Torin decided to accept an offer to work with one of the most successful DJ, producer / remixers - Steve "Silk" Hurley as a producer / remixer at Steve's Silk Productions.
Taking what he learned under the guidance of the Silk Productions camp, Torin J. Edmond, emerged with the inception of his own production company Underground Audio Music Group. According to Torin, "I was always looking for new avenues to grow as a DJ and Producer. I wanted to establish myself as a recognized talent among those who made the transition from DJ to producer / remixers." In order to stay on top of his game for production and remix skills, Torin continues to blaze the 1s and 2s with a residency at the internationally recognized sonotheque - chicago with anthony nicholson. Serving up Deep House and other aural delicacies, Torin has a sense for moving the dance floor. In addition to his live sets, his mixes have been heard on the nationally syndicated "Tom Joyner Morning Show", on the web at www.thaunderground.com.
Torin has been a resident DJ at sonotheque in chicago since 2004. and currently an administrator for deephousepage.com
Music is one mans expression to the world. As a DJ, we convey that message to the masses - Greg Gray
Growing up in Chicago in the 70’s, Greg Gray was exposed to a variety of music at a young age. Soul, Disco, R&B, Funk, and Jazz were the foundation from which his love of music would be built upon. Greg started playing records at age 12 and has been playing ever since.
As beat mixing became more popular, Greg began to take the idea of becoming a dj seriously. While in high school, the music he would hear at the parties and on the radio turned him on to the dance music scene. With his dj crew the Body Snatchers, Greg began playing at high school events and house parties around the city. “We weren’t old enough to get into the Warehouse and the original Muzik Box, but we would get tapes from some of the older heads who were regulars there.”
When asked about his style, Greg would say his style of playing records was influenced by Frankie Knuckles, Ron Hardy (R.I.P.), and Farley Keith.
Now aligned with the Nu Bang Clan, Greg has been charged with bringing the underground sound to the masses. As Promotions Director for Loftwerks Records, Greg has also been able to expand into the global market. Live musicians, percussionists, tribal rhythms and electronica are all a part of his musical sets. His mixes can be heard on various websites including www.nubangclan.com, www.thaUnderground.com & www.deephousepage.com .
