"What you hear you forget, what you see you remember, What you do you understand"
Classic! I remember this tune crossed over to the R&B charts and reached the top 10.![]()
"...wait a minute, hold up!...you mean I can get da dick without da ignorant mutherfucka attached!?...hell! I'll take two!!!"
-Comedian Melanie Camacho
Timmy, One of the Colonel's best and most underrated plates to me, Is, 'You and me, Equals us', Along with, 'Picture me in love with you', And, 'Relive a memory', From the mid/late 80's, Infact, Here's a list of some vastly underrated plates by the Colonel/LOL.
1.In between us-Featuring Rose Stone
2.Bad Timing
3.Life's full of Music(Music is my life).
4.Over and Over
5.Hurt my feelings
6.The love that i don't need
7.Let's celebrate(Hopefully, Boyd Jarvis will release this song one day/LOL).
Timmy, Winston Jones deserves mad credit for producing, 'Music is the answer', By The Colonel in 1984/85, My man, 'Music is the answer', Was the plate that put the Colonel onstage(Mad notoriety), On the Dance music
circuit and music business(Much Respect to Cheryl Busby, Former President of MCA records during the 80's to 1995, In regards to putting the Colonel Down with MCA in 1984, And, Allowing a Dance music cat like the Colonel to sing the songs that he loves to sing.
Much Respect

"What you hear you forget, what you see you remember, What you do you understand"
Timmy, Winston Jones was one of the most underrated producers on the Dance music circuit during the 80's/90's, My man(At least to me), The Work Winston Jones put in with plates like, 'Motherland', By Tribal House, 'The
Magic,The Moment', By Subject, 'Celebrate', By Subject,'Ma Foom Bey', By Cultural Vibe,Etc, During the 80's,90's, Were right on time(Along with Winston Jones's man, Paul Simpson), Timmy, The Colonel put in work at the Garage in January of 1986(My last night at the Garage), My man, Timmy, The Colonel
did not step on stage at The Garage, Until 6:00am Saturday morning my man(Timmy, I was building with your man Ray, About The Colonel's performance at The Garage a few years ago, My man), Timmy, I wish more cats would run more plates by The Colonel, Besides, 'Music is the answer', My man/LOL,
Timmy, Are you up on the Colonel's CD from 1992, 'About Romances', Featuring plates like, 'Secret Mystery',(Mad underrated plate to the ninth power), 'You don't know(Somebody tell me'), 'Never be another one', Etc,
Timmy, The Colonel used to work with one of my boys at Izod(Designer), On 37thst and 7thave, During the early 80's, My man/LOL,The Colonel was a
Temp at that time, And, My man Mentioned to me, About this cat, Who was making Dance music plates(Well, We did not know at the Time, That, Only, Timmy Regisford,Merlin Bobb,Bruce Forest,Tony Humphries,Tee Scott, Were running plates, Like,'Running', 'Release the Tension','Celebrate',Etc, Back in
1983/84/LOL, And, The cat who was singing on those plates, Was the same cat who was working at Izod as a temp during the early/mid 80's/LOL, Timmy, I used to see The Colonel at Bentley's during the early/mid 80's, On a regular basis(Friday nites afterwork throwdowns/LOL), Back then, My man/LOL ,
Timmy, Do you like that plate by The Colonel,Jay Williams,Michael Watford, Called, 'I''l be right there', Produced by Roger Sanchez from the mid 90's.
Much Respect

No Doubt. I'll be right here was a cut. I remember one year during the NMS Colonel did Palladium with about 5000 people in there. It was a BLS party. At some point I must have seen him perform about 5 times in a year and the Garage was one of them.
I have a few 12's from that LP you mentioned but didnt even know he had any other LP besides "Colonel Abrams" & "You and Me Equals Us" which had like a 3 min version of Running![]()

"What you hear you forget, what you see you remember, What you do you understand"
Timmy, The version of, Runnin', On the Colonels LP from 1987('You and me, Equals us',), Was wack my man/LOL, I'm very sure, Boyd Jarvis and Timmy Regisford(Who was working with MCA records back in 1987, As A/R), Had to make a commercial version of 'Running', In regards to getting, 'Runnin',
Included on the LP(Cheryl Busby's my man, and things, But, Money could have allowed Boyd Jarvis and Timmy Regisford, To Produce the original ,'Runnin', That was on a reel-to reel, During the early 80's, Again
(Cheryl Busby could have allowed Boyd Jarvis and Timmy Regisford to get the Colonel to sing, 'Runnin', Over, The original version way/LOL), Timmy, That, 'Secret Romance', LP/CD, By The Colonel, Has some very nice plates on it, My man, Timmy I've always wondered why the Colonel never put, 'Release the Tension', On the, 'You and me, equals us, LP/CD too, My man(Maybe,
Because of the commercial aspect of having to do a commercial version of 'Release the Tension', Included on the LP, Opposed to the original version of,'Release the Tension', Which is mad hard, But, Not LP/CD friendly, My man/LOL.
