I noticed that the water level in my basement toilet was higher than normal last Sunday, tried to work on it.
Expected to come last Monday after a easy day at work and chill.
My sump pump went down and got water in several spots in the basement.
Had to rip up the carpet over a period of days, finally finished this morning. The funk from the wet carpet was bad, never want to go through this mess again.
Between getting a new sump pump and stuff to clean up the basement was well over $700 in cost.
Still trying to get things back in order, what a miserable experience. Trying to get work done around a work schedule is very tiresome, what a hectic week.
Nothing was lost, had to move some things upstairs while I got things in order.
Now to find the perfect solution to the bad smell, I used some seriously bleach on the concrete floors.
Should I even put carpet down again?
Another home experience to remember, what's next?
