    As I watched last night

I too cried when they finally announced what we all hoped. prayed, longed and voted for manifested itself in victory last night. The look of pride on my daughters face was priceless. As I watched the many people gathered in celebration around the country (and the world) I thought to myself well no more excuses. We can no longer pass the blame of where we are as a people. We can no longer say the door is closed or the glass ceiling is keeping us from elevating. God through President Obama has ripped the veil that separated us from living the “American Dream”. The door is now open and the next question is who is willing to walk through that door with him. I know the excitement is here now, everyone is screaming victory now, He is everyone’s hero now, but will those same cries of support remain faithful when the time comes to make the sacrifices needed to secure this countries success as a nation? Will we still rally around him when the inevitable cuts hit home? When we have to tighten the purse strings even more, so that others can have food on their table? I love what he stands for, the promise of hope he brings to a people but such a promise is going to cost us. We have to be willing to stand by him in the latter as we now stand. We have to be prepared to defend him when others deny him. Yes let us all celebrate the victory of our brother, the victory of our generation, the victory of our faith but let us remember these times when hard times come. Let us not throw him under the bus because he didn’t make miracles but stand by him and lift him up when the haters come to devour. Congratulations Family; We opened the door (it’s about time). Now let us dance through it with pride, dignity, faith and fortitude. It’s all uphill from here; lace up your Tims we’re in for a long climb. We haven’t reached the mountain top YET but thank God; we’ve finally gained access to the mountain.

    See you in DC

Today I am truly proud to be an American.

What an amazing campaign... truly embodying the spirit of Gandhi's famous quote, "Be the change you want to see in the world." I hope and pray that we keep our momentum going - that we step up to the plate and face all the work that has to be done next - with the enthusiasm and dedication that the campaign brought out.

Today is a good day. :D

Congradulations to everyone on the DHP. This is YOUR victory.

May God bless America, and the rest of the world too on this day.
