    Rakuten is a huge Japanese internet shopping mall that has
    4,6300,000 members.
    ...and last week, this item was #1 item, most sold item in
    "Men's Underwear - others" category at the mall.

    Well I am working on the subject so I can't really talk to much about it. But you are right, Amazon is in Luxembourg as well.

    There strategy is not totally clear to me, but its to be more than an Amazon. But not exactly what R. does in Japan. If this makes sense.

    press conference, he said;
    it's easy to hire multilingual staff there ad
    it's is geographically center of Europe, and
    we can take an advantage for distribution...

    Many internet based businesses
    have their Euro Headquarters there

    He he. I am working on exactly that topic on a project for the gov of Lux.
    [Luxembourg is a great place for a high-tech company to have it's HQ in Europe and any companies interested can PM for more details )

    are you located @ Amsterdam ?
    my good friend (American) was working on a project for KPN
    years ago. (about 7,8 yrs ago)

    I wonder if Rakuten is going to sell that kind of item when they
    are settled in Lux...
