    'The Shield' --- Final episode.....

Is tonight!!! I am so pumped! After years of breaking the very laws they were sworn to protect, the strike team goes down! Vic (ever the stratetician) managed to work out a sweet deal for himself with the FBI, but his boys have no such immunity. It's gonna be interesting to see how it all ends!

Who else is gonna be watching?

He managed to get immunity from the FBI for working undercover for them last week. He told ALL the dirt he's done since the beginning of the show --- including the murder of another police officer. Unless something truly unforseen happens (like him getting killed by one of his former partners in crime), he gonna walk!

A bad man who define's what a bad cop is really like.

Will Claudette have a stroke from all the stuff that Vic might get away with?

The look on Vic's face as he was told "suits & ties only here. Go home & change at lunchtime." Made his azz a paper pusher...Daayyuum!! Especially after all he did for that ICE chick. Giving her back those incriminating files was the dumbest thing he did. He could have used those to guarantee Ronnie got put on & both would be field agents. That snitch azz wife of his, was no better than the ICE agent. Vic went way beyond the fence, to protect her & the kids. Excellent acting, great plots, some real drama and twists & turns every week. Truly a groundbreaking show! Cop shows will have to measure up against The Shield from now on.

The final episode was off the chain!!! Shane ended up exactly the way I though he would --- dead by his own hand. Ronnie got pissed on by Vic and the look on his face once he found out that he did not have immunity was priceless. Claudette took great pleasure in taking away Ronnie right before Vics' eyes and also seeing to it that Vic would never see his family again. Vic gaining his freedom, yet losing everything else --- family, job that his loved, and friends was something to remember. I never thought I'd see him relegated to be a 'paper pusher'.

This was definitely one of the greatest police dramas' to ever grace the screen. I'm really gonna miss it. What a way to go out!!!

The cartel must've whacked Andre 3000's mayoral character to ensure Aceveda's victory. Aceveda in front of the TV cameras, bragging about how he was in on the bust from the outset was a hoot.

You hate to see you favorite show end but its better than them keeping them around for ratings and the show going down the tubes.

I'm sure its the end with no spin offs or return but I like how they show him strapping up leaving the office like he was going to find bad guys.

I've never been so nervous about watching an episode of a show as I have the last few leading up to and including the finale. Shane killing himself was pretty predictable, but I didn't think he'd take the wife and kids with him. I felt so bad for poor loyal Ronnie, but Shane had told him that Vic would screw him too. But I thought maybe Claudette would pass out and die before they got to the barn; not that it would change the situation. Now at the end, I thought Vic was going to go out a la Shane, but I'm glad he didn't. He was hardcore to the end, though he looked like an absolute IDIOT in a suit. I thought the ending sucked though. Ya never know; they might bring that show back. Don't know what the storyline could really be though. Vic hunting down Corine and his kids, Ronnie breaks out and hunts down Vic? There are just some loose ends in there still. I am going to miss this show!

what is interesting about the show is that throughout the seasons most people were rooting for Vic even though he is a bad guy. with all that happened over the last episodes and the finale those same people, from what i have been reading, really wanted to see him get his (for what he did to ronnie and seeing pregnant mara and little jackson laying dead on the bed).

truth be told I was also nervous about this episode too. the last few episodes leading up to the finale made me anxious not knowing what was going to happen next (or better yet when it was...). i was kind of relieved when shane offed himself (not having to worry with him about his predicament anymore)

"You can go now", funny line by Claudette as they walked out Ronnie.

Vick got a boss worse than Claudette, go figure.
