    Feels Kind of Strange

This is the first thanksgiving in three years that I everyone IS NOT coming to my house for dinner and I must admit it feels kind of strange. My baby sister is hosting this year and insists on doing everything herself. Since my daughter will be over there until Sunday it makes no sense for me to cook anything for my house. I guess I’ll just bring my Tupperware tomorrow and use my energy to hit all the parties this weekend.
Christmas is mine this year so I’ll make it up then.

My great aunt does the turkey and usually a ham. The extended fam supplies the rest. I am baking apple crisp and sweet potato pie and doing the vegetarian entree, which is basically tofu creole and bok choy.

    Hi Shalewa,

The tofu creole and bok choy sound delish! Please pm recipe if your willing to part with it. I would love to expand my knowledge on great veggie recipes.

I'm cooking traditional "gringo" fare. Mom's bringing the arroz con pollo and platanos. Dad is bringing the Cazadores and Remy.

I got a big ass goose on the smoker and a turkey in the other smoker right now. Takes about 4 hours to smoke the duck and like 6 hours on the turkey...gotta have this done the day before because they take so long to smoke. Tomorrow the wife will make the rest, greens with turkey necks (splashed with my homemade pepper sauce of course), her famous 5 cheese baked mac and cheese, rosemary string beans, candy yams with marshmellos (the kids favorite), stuffing and banana pudding.
