Now I am familiar with all the drama from previous years regarding scandals and such on the Page………………… and understand somewhat the remarks regarding those particular situations.

But the difference behind this current event is that Fathom did not ask for any help from any of the respondents. In terms of Fathom verbalizing names and such………… you all have incriminated yourself by attacking her in the first place........ all on your own. Both You Tube and DHP are publicly viewed boards.

I’ve been a member of this page for many years. It really amazes me how the same individuals are ALWAYS on the case whenever there is an incident, scandal, or any other event that is deemed suspect. Who in the hell has time to dissect every word, post, call people’s job to perform employment verifications and such. What should be said about these people? Who in the hell are you anyway?

Fathom……………………….. in my opinion, gets nothing but mad respect and support from me, because she has always been true to the game and out there doing her thing consistently, regardless of the criticism. Now I may not agree with some of the things that have happened and the reasoning behind what she’s done, but I’m going to help her out anyway. And all you PRETENDERS out there in DHP LAND are doing nothing but helping a sista out, by giving her consistent publicity. Everyone loves a love/hate story!

Fathom’s actions do not represent who I am as a human being, a woman, a member of this page…………………….. or a Chicagoan, just in case yall want to say something about that.

Some of you have supported very distasteful marks and this is just so odd to me. I’ve been called far worse, but I stand alone and I am my own damn cheerleader.

She's a liar. Expect no compassion. Outside of TAC's post the day this all as posted, DHP was rather tame. Once she called out DHP and lied when she did, that's when the clowning really began.

If we've learned anything on this board, it's how to spot a scam / lie. It's the holiday season and she thought she was gonna get some holiday cheer er I mean change.

I'm waiting for her "equipment" to be miraculously found untouched.

By the way I'm still waiting for those pm's she got to be reported to me.

"Ive been reading ALL of the responses from this post, and I have found myself trully horrified at some of the responses that it has gotten. Although I have never been in this situation myself, I have close friends that have and I Empathize with Fathom, as much as I did them in the past. The reason why I posted this was because I Empathized with her situation, and I offered my assistance the best way I could by offering to help her recover her music if I have anything she needed in that respect. This was all I could do, I know my personal limitations. This type of lost effects the community as a whole, and as for the pure heartless, people that responded in the negative ways that they have. Im sure Fathom has kicked her own ass over and over about the safegards that she failed to take that led to this unfortunate incident that has happened. To kick and pick at her at this point seems to me to be overkill. But I guess its what I may have opened up Fathom for by posting this to DHP. If I have farther harmed her by doing so, I apologize to her.

My wish is that she and others,(including myself) learn from this experience and take better care of what we consider to be important to us. Im sure she will eventually recover from this.

I still Support Fathom, what happened to her is unfortunate, no matter what the circumstances, that lead to the theft of her equiptment, and Music, I can still relate and Do empathize with her.

Celeste I loves ya ta def mama... but Im sorry Im not feeling this. AT ALL.

Almost every dj I know has gotten "took" for their goods. CD Books snatched from a dj booth, vinyl lifted from someones home, equipment stolen and some mo' shyt. And the dj's I know weren't begging PUBLICLY for people to GIVE them music. NOR folks ASKING peeps to DONATE MUSIC publically.

Producers/DJs work hard on their musical productions and remixes. People make music for a LIVING. I think is it totally irresponsible for a DJ like yourself to ASK peeps to give music.

Dont get me wrong I know FRIENDS will help out with some tunes(and especially in cases where it wasnt the person fault like leaving their shyt in a car!)... thats to be anticipated... but to solicit folks to GIVE FREE MUSIC imo isnt cool especially with YOU BEING A DJ. Rebuild your music arsenal by PURCHASING the music.

I doubt seriously if Fathom supports herself with a full fledged DJ Career (because if she did she wouldnt have done that dumb shyt fa sho!) ... I.E. she probably has a 9-5... and if she works... then she needs to be spending the money to do what MANY A DJ has had to do in her position. Suck it up, start from scratch and buy new equipment and music.

I will say this though: Times are tough, the Economy Sucks, your money doesnt go very far so I can understand friends assisting her with lending her some equipment until she is back up and running.... but she needs to buy her own music.

but for me.... there was a total lack of humility and discretion and self reliance.

If she was a digital DJ anyways, it wont be that hard for her to work up her library, especially by getting some MPfrees.

To lose like 15 creates of vinyl? That would be devastating. Shit, even 2 crates packed with some of your fave tunes, ouch.

I kind of see that as the beauty and upside of digital DJing, and if and when I make the switch, I will certainly have my music backed up on several hard drives!

at least we ain't leaving our equipment/music in our cars, while jumping from party to party, then get it stolen (if you believe that...did anybody check her occupants pockets??), and then make a youtube video about it!

if we should believe the heist, then of course our hearts go out to her...But what some (actually very few) are missing is that, for her to not take blame for her own stupidity, and now go on some mission to sell t-shirts, uplift female dj, kumbaayah mission is where most of us have a problem...and then to berate us for shining a light on the okey doke and not falling for it is unbelievable.
