Myself and my brother and fellow dancer Carlos will be teaching HOUSE DANCE CLASSES next week! 1st class starts next Thursday Jan. 8th and is FREE! If you like it , you can sign up for the 6-week course. No experience necessary, just an open mind!
In the class we will be learning some of the basic steps of jacking and footwork. The House dancing we speak of is an east coast style with influences in African, Tap, Salsa & Capoeira. There will also be some floorwork.

See you there!

SIDEBAR:
*Many people seem to have the misconception that House dancing is 'dancing to House music.' IT'S NOT. Dancing at a club with House music does not make you a 'House dancer.' House dancing is an actual technique and dance form such as jazz or ballet with its own vocabulary of steps. The reason so many folks in the midwest or west aren't familiar with it is because it's a style of dancing that was developed in the east coast, predominantly New York. It has its influences in African, Latin, Tap dance and Capoeira. It is smooth, flowing, with lots of emphasis on the footwork.
