Another good book is 'The 5 Minute Debt Solution'. I believe the author's name is Christensen.

Been following her advice for years. Having no payments whatsoever (including no mortgage), a one year emergency fund, an excellent FICO score and maxing out my retirement plans (403b and Roth IRA) is a good place to be in times like this. Thanks Suze !!

What will happen when this credit crunch worsens in the months to come and the banks start reducing peoples credit limits and jacking their interest rates up to over 30% ?
