I don't buy it, dude. Find me a scientific study that shows smoking strengthens our immune systems. The fact that you haven't had a cold in 15 years is purely anecdotal and is basically meaningless in the big picture.

And I really don't have the energy to argue on the internet, but I'll just say that smoking was proven to be harmful (and potentially deadly) loooong before any medication was developed to help people quit.

Smoking is not the problem. Intrusion into people's lives and restriction of personal choices is the problem, which you can't seem to help to exacerbate enough. is it a nasty habit, sure. It's also heavily taxed, so if society is going to pay for soceity smoking, let it be done that way, and let private businesses decide their own policies to what happens in their establishments. If you want to make it illegal, read up on how well alcohol prohibition worked out or how well the illegalization of other substances is helping communities at large.

What will you say when the govt restricts the volume on you because it is damaging peoples hearing? It's always been to loud, save perhaps mancuso's parties.

I'm not a smoker. This morning my clothes stink like hell from going out last night. However, the smoke kept me from smelling anyone farting or any other body odor and provided a nice haze to help foster a hedonistic environment.

RAS, why weren't you complaining about the volume? it was probably loud enough to cause hearing damage, as the levels needed for people to enjoy the music are typically already louder than the ears were designed for over the average amount of time spent at a party. Tinnitus can cause people to commit suicide, and hearing loss can obviously keep people from noticing traffic.

Or the alcohol? It might impair someone's judgement?

Do you drive? Do you take taxis? Do you ever fly? Do you consume any power from coal power plants? Do you eat foods containing corn syrup? Why not be outraged that americas food supply is essentially poisoning everyone? No, you are simply fucking up an event in a private venue.
