SLAAG RECORDS began releasing in 2000 with Goin’ Up by Dawn Tallman.
SLAAG RECORDS is a label committed to developing vocal artists. Its primary musical focus is house music, but R&B and Gospel are also in its sights.
To date there have been 26 single releases and 3 full length album projects are in process.
The album projects are from Dawn Tallman, Remedy and Eddie Nicholas, the core label artists. SLAAG TRAAX has been spun off to capitalize on the dance music world of DJ produced releases, leaving SLAAG RECORDS to its mission.
SLAAG RECORDS also works with non-profit entities for their fund raising efforts. The label has provided donations of money, time from its CEO, Glenn Thornton and lent its artist to perform at events. Neighborhood Childcare Center in Montclair, NJ is the most recent event SLAAG RECORDS was involved with.
SLAAG RECORDS sponsors events designed to raise awareness of Vocal House Music, and the artists and DJ’s that comprise it. We are sponsors of Think Soul, a bi-monthly Monday night in North Jersey as well as the Atlantic City Dance Express, now in its second year. Over the years we have also sponsored other events in Miami Beach, Amsterdam, Philadelphia and New York.

A New Jersey native, Glenn has been a DJ for many years. Most notably as a resident DJ for the long running New York Sunday party Together in Spirit. Glenn has also played clubs in Philadelphia, Baltimore, Newark and Chicago. His style ranges from funky, sexy lounge to banging, sexy energy.
Glenn Thornton is owner of SLAAG Productions, Inc. the home to house music labels SLAAG RECORDS and SLAAG TRAAX. SLAAG Productions, Inc has been releasing records and promoting its artists for over 8 years.
SLAAG RECORDS is an artist, song driven label. Its focus is releasing and promoting vocal artists that can perform their material whether in a small club, a big club or an arena setting. SLAAG RECORDS is moving toward releasing full length CDs and using single releases as the promotional tool.
SLAAG TRAAX is a single release driven label. It releases instrumental tracks/songs, vocals that are not full songs and soulful electronic sounds. It will also serve as the test bed for artists that may release full length Cds but are establishing themselves through single releases.

Born and raised in Danbury, Connecticut, Dawn began singing in the house of God from childhood. Later, she expanded her body of work into the R&B and Dance scenes. Dawns voice and style have been compared to those of many great vocalists, like Chaka Khan, Karen Wheeler and Oleta Adams, yet her style is completely & audibly her own. Her ear for harmonies and her perfect sense for the placement of backgrounds & ad-libs make her a producers dream and an audiences delight.
Dawn’s voice has blessed numerous singles as the featured artist and she is on the must call list for many producers when they are looking for someone to arrange and sing backgrounds. This amazing lady has also appeared on the VH1 hit reality show "Born to Diva," where she was one of the top 5 contestants. With his forceful vocals, ranging from baritone to a soaring falsetto, Edward or Eddie as he called is able to adapt to many musical genres. Edward is not new to the music scene. His first song appeared on the independent record label Strictly Rhythm entitled, “You Make Me Carry On”, 1995.
Edward has appeared with the Virginia State University Concert choir in Concert with Barry Manilow and the Montclair Community Choir under the direction Of CeCe Rogers at the Beacon Theatre in New York for The British Rock Concert in salute to songs written and performed by the Beatles. He has traveled the world to participate in music conferences in Italy (Italian Music conference), London and Amsterdam (Amsterdam dance event ), 2007 he acted as host for the Body Music Chicago /Slaag Records showcase at the Sand (Amsterdam) for over 2500 people featuring CeCe Peniston and Dawn Tallman and in 2008 he participated in the Lincoln Park Music Festival, Newark NJ

He is an educator in the field of Early Child Care Education(NAEYC) a promoter with the on-going network party Thinksoul ,Member of ASCAP (dekmusique Publishing) , Film Music Network and one of many sponsors for the highly rated internet show Cyberjamz.
