Damn was hunting for I zimbra but only live versions..
The most vivid music experience I have had was between 1980 and 1985. This was the music I was raised on, the music I most naturally I immersed myself in between 12 and 18 years. At the time it never occurred to me that almost all the artists were white, and it didn't matter either. Twenty years down the road, and as many years of listening to and studying music with far more intent, I look back and see an era where white artists left behind a fantastic body of music, unequalled since in many respects, and ever more distinguishable in rhythm, melody, lyric, style and wit. For me it remains some of the best music ever issued, from a personal emotional viewpoint it will stay THE unrivalled soundtrack of my childhood. And, yes, that also included Prince, MJ, Cameo, Midnight & Atlantic Starr, New Edition, etc. etc. etc.
...
See thats the thing the majority of the artists WEREN'T white ..that may have been the most diverse time musically. There was no "Black" or "White" music and the lack of posts by Black Artists disturbed me. As I thin of it...who the fuck am I to tell people what they can like...my bad ...for real.
My two bits ....
