    Bulls make a trade...

Sacramento gets - Andres Nocioni, Drew Gooden, Ike Diogu and Cedric Simmons
Portland Trailblazers get - Michael Ruffin
Chicago Bulls get - Brad Miller and John Salmons

I like it. Salmons a that big 2-guard we need to pair with Rose. Miller gives us a skilled big man who can pass and defend. Word is Hinrich may be gone too...more to follow.

    I hate this trade.

Miller is on his last leg. He is a big body, which we need. But gat damn. We already had dude, and shipped him off. Salmons may make a difference. Get rid of Hinrich and his salary. Get me a big grown man forward, and a center. We have 12 guards already.

The Bulls made this deal looking toward 2010. Larry Hughes' $16 million and Miller's $13 million deal all expire next year. If they trade Hinrich, they get $8 million more. Should give them a knot of money to pursue some prime free agents. Hopefully they can succeed this time.

the same Brad Miller they traded for Ron Artest...

I've given up on The Bulls. Bring on March Madness...

They got rid of Miller in 2000 and he went on to become an All Star. Now they're bringing him back at the end of his career...

So now we'll STILL need a real power forward and center after this season, and we lost our best defensive bench player. Salmon replaces Gordon essentially......

Doesn't seem like such a great trade to me........JMJ

It's just a wash on the players...this was a deal based on exercising options and cap room

I think Tyrus will be able to fill that role. He is improving a lot. And Miller's contract does not end until next year. By clearing Nocioni's contract and by trading Hinrich (it will happen tomorrow), they will have loads of cap room in 2010. Will Derrick Rose, I bet they make a play for Chris Bosh and/or Dwyane Wade....

Tyrus has no heart. He's too skinny to play in the post and not skilled enough to play small forward. He lives for the highlight reel dunk and lacks the fundamentals to ever be much more than he is now.

    Paxson should've kept Aldridge......JMJ

Agreed...Tyrus will just be an athletic journeyman...only good for an occasional spark off the bench...

I can't think of a time that he's actually showed up to PLAY three games in a row as a Bull.

Tonight vs. the Bucks is a perfect example. He put on the uniform and ran up and down the court - that's about it.......JMJ

I like Salmon. Gordon and Thabo..........Gone!!! Larry Hughes do not want to stay. Cool........ But, Hinrich is mentioned on thetrading block. Went from having too many guard to having no backup next year.

I've met the Jonathan Reinsdorf at a Sports Management lecture at roosevelt University. The Bulls Management do not like distributing long-term, lucrative contracts. Unless, your Jordan or D. Rose. The Reinsdorfs are purely business not basketball.
