what i don't get is.....the shelter party is 4 am to 2 pm @ webster on the 8th

now....sunday shoutin' is on the same day, same location, but starts at 4 pm

seems odd to me!?!


and as for timmy being mia....hm idk, lol the plot does thicken eh?

webster hall would be blowing up that day...with only a 2 hour gap between 2 deep house parties

So what does one do?Leave at 2pm go get brunch and maybe comeback at 4pm?there is no way im going back to bklyn just to come back to the same spot.You dont want to open the place like a fiend at 4pm also,arriving 7ish would be good.

Every weekend used to be like this at Vinyl.

Hell yeah Marathon days. Shelter would open at 11pm Sat and body n soul would end around 3-4 am Monday.

I also remember Shelter closing for a few hours (neighbor issues) during their party and reopening. We would sleep on speakers just to stay in the club. Mannnn Timmy would start out with House Church up in there. Then move to a more jazzy early morn thing groove into some James Brown and then Rip fela!!! By the time you left at 3:30 with no voice and legs shaking filthy even though you went through 2-3 changes of clothes and washed up.

It was a house healing session...you felt relieved.

Anyone know a place like this that still exists???
