    DHP: I need your votes....

Every year the Washington City Paper does a "best of" issue. I was named "Deepest House DJ" last year (whatever that means).

Anyways, I was gonna hold off on campaigning for votes but the competition has gotten intense as everyone has really stepped their game up in soliciting votes. If you could spare 15 seconds of your time, I would appreciate voting me for "BEST DJ of 2009." 2008 was very good to me and I have even bigger plans for this year with production and more parties on the slate. I love doing this and have no plans stopping promoting and playing underground dance music in the D.C. area.

    Thanks.

As for the charges against me, I am unconcerned. I am beyond their timid lying morality, and so I am beyond caring.

Anyways, I was gonna hold off on campaigning for votes but the competition has gotten intense as everyone has really stepped their game up in soliciting votes. If you could spare 30 seconds of your time, I would appreciate voting me for "BEST DJ of 2009." I plan on keeping underground dance music at the forefront of my agenda and in order to help push this music forward, it needs continuous visibility.

    none

and thats cool, just don't say "help push this music forward, it needs continuous visibility." Following all that preceded those words, they smack of insincerity

be real and say that you need the visibility

    Good Luck

Hey Chris, good luck. I am sure the competition is intense. But if the other DJs made it about messageboard/facebook votes, well then if you lose you did not really lose, and if you win you did not really win.

I just sent the paper a link to this thread and asked you be excluded due to canvassing; and I've questioned the validity of your previous 'win' last year

    Snitch.

How do you think every body participating in the contest is getting votes? Shameless yes, but it comes with the territory. Chris is playing the game and has been racking up points. Can't argue with results.

    From the website..........

    GET VOTES!
Nominate someone (or yourself!) and create shareable widgets and a customized voting page.

Now I'm not sure why on earth they would offer a widget and a custom pg for voting if they didn't think people were going to try and get votes on the net

    Jus sayin'

Your intellectual question I have no problem with. Seems before you even had your own answer you took action directly against Chris. And that I feel is way out of step.

This is the Washington City Paper, no Post.

The majority of last year's awards were critics picks, including my own. They are doing away with that this year.
