Have you ever had the experience of encountering someone who is startlingly beautiful? Use whatever frame of reference you prefer (no standards of beauty implied).

I had the pleasure of seeing two photos recently that took my breath away. One, a person dear to me who I am not certain knows how powerful she is and the other, a photo of my mother (the only one I now own) that reminds me of how she looked. Gasp.

Anyone?

Sometimes, I forget how beautiful my girlfirend looks. I often see how beautiful a person she is on the inside, but occasionally I look at her and think, wow! she's so pretty...

Boldsoul, great insight.

I have one photo of my Grandma when she was 19 and it blows me away everytime I dig it out.

Photos are very important things, I'm making sure I chronicle those lives around me for my kids and their kids.

Yes. Three pictures come to mind. My nephew, my mom when she was younger, and my aunts with my uncle.

Greetings Bold Soul:

I posted this a few weeks ago and your thread subject moved me to post this again....if I may:

-------------

Below is a wonderful poem. Audrey Hepburn wrote it
when she was asked to share her "beauty tips." It was read at her funeral years later.

d

A LOVELY WOMAN

For attractive lips, speak words of kindness.
For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people.
For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry.
For beautiful hair, let a child run his/her fingers through it once a day.
For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never
walk alone.

People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; never throw out anyone.

Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each of your arms. As you grow older, you will discover that you
have two hands; one for helping yourself, and the
other for helping others.

Well, know that is very interesting Danny, can you tell me more of your relationship with your mother, and if your past and present girlfriends looked like her ?
Did you ever experimented erotic dreams where you were making a movie about your mother ?
Did you ever think when you were a child that you wanted to murder your father ?

(hee hee not a shrink here, just passing through and saying hello Danny, hope you're fine and that your movie is feeling an increasing success... be well my friend)

Last summer in DC I was at a party one evening, hanging out with friends and chatting when all of a sudden I felt this urge to turn left and look. Didn't really know what I was to look for but when I saw the woman that walked in, I knew right away what I was reacting to.
WOW!
What struck me the most about her beauty was that it preceeded her into the room. I was reacting to it before I even saw her. She had no make up on and was casually dressed. Although physically beautiful too, I was much more in awe of how she chose to manifest that beauty through her vibe.
Another time was when I found a picture of my Mum from the 70s. She was a nursing student in Scotland at the time. The picture was of her in an evening gown and a long, black, evening coat (that I now own hee, hee). She was crossing the road and had the happiest, warmest smile I'd ever seen on any face. It was the first picture I'd ever seen of her at about the age I am now. Looking at the photo, I got a deep sense of understanding and belonging. Something about her at that stage in her life explained so much to me about myself now. Then there was the time (8 years ago) I met my best friend. She has the same magnetic beauty and radiates it in such a way it is pretty hard to resist wanting to know her.
I read what Ashaki writes about finding people beautiful that others may not see the same way.
For some reason, I've never really reacted the same way to a dude. Maybe 1.5 times I came close to feeling this ... kinda sorta ...

i have met some people that were not all that physically attractive but were still very beautiful.

every now and then i see someone that looks so beautiful to me. i think to myself, i don't deserve to be looking at someone this beautiful.
