The point is most cats just make those edits/remixes for fun. If they come out..then..all's good. If not then they just pass it to their friends and play it themselves. If they put it out and it sucks? well...what's it gonna sell? 500 copies? I mean come on...the cat will make less than 1,000 bucks after he pays for manufacturing! Your lawyers retainer will be at least that much. So whatcha suing him for? His car? His house? You that hard up that you would do that? Now don't get me wrong..I'm not condoning this shit. I'm just saying sometimes your energy is better served at doing something positive and choosing which war to fight and which battle to let fizzle out. That is the mark of a true professional.

Saying that Alex and Dave LISTEN to what the crowd say and want they heard the buzz on Peven mostly through DJ mixes edits etc
Its not ONE DJ or EDIt its many folks but this all adds up

How many DJ mixes do you hear with a peven track edit or remix on? A bucket load right?
If you where a promoter and you kept hearing DJ's playing this guys stuff what would you do?
Would they have heard of Peven through his live shows? Maybe but I think the word has been spread a lot further through DJ's worldwide than Pevens live shows and albums

I look at it like this...

This is such a small niche genre. Anything an artist can do to get his work noticed is a plus. If this means someone doing an edit of your work...so be it. I'm honored when someone thinks enough of a record of mine to edit it. If they think they can make it better..then ..Please..by all means do it!! In these modern times your records are now seen as business cards. There is not a whole lot of revenue to be made from sales. So whatever you can have done to expand your profile whether it's in a printable or audible format is a good thing. As your other forms of earning potential revenue depend on that. Long gone are the days of worrying. You just kinda keep it moving and you don't dwell. Doesn't mean someone won't catch a beatdown for booting an original. But a bootleg rmx? Fuk it....go and make me more money son!
This has to be one of the craziest things i've read. Woulda made sense in the early nineties where a different business model was being employed. Nowadays? Kinda like cutting off your own nose to spite ya face if you ask me.
