After nearly two and a half hours, I'm all caught up.

I'm so tired of people not understanding that, just because you can loop some beats and play some keyboards and know the phone number to the CD duplication house that's near your day job, perhaps you are not qualified as a PRODUCT MANAGER.

If these cats were children, I'd say, "Good job and learn from your mistakes". These are some grown-ass muthafukas comin' at us with GARBAGE PRODUCT - flaws that the major labels that won't give them deals would never allow. Every last one of them will swear up and down that the music establishment is crooked, but then they go out on their own and expect to get away with epic failures. It almost makes one want to say, "Fuck you for trying," what, when they have piss-poor follow through and then attack those who are willing to support them when their own ego needs fail to be met.

"Why didn't you call me? I would have replaced it for you." Is this meant to be a joke? Cats clown the A&Rs in the establishment side of the business, but here you see just how important they are to keeping an artist on track and helping insure they don't shoot themselves in the foot...hourly...

I mean, one after another, in succession...just wrong with theirs...again and again...as if there is some accomplishment in getting away with passing off sub-standard product on the members of tha P.

It's bizarre.

Wow it took me 2days to catch up on this thread.I really think there needs to be a DHP reality TV series there is more drama here than TNT.Great points made by all.I do think the talents of the DJ have been underestimated and also being a executive at a major label it is not that uncommon for artist to have a my talent is more valuable than theirs is attitude.I do understand Pevens point too from a violating my original ideal of my song ideal.Hopefully both parties the DJs and Peven will understand that they are both on the same side and thats the side of giving the public GREAT MUSIC to listen too. I believe all talents are gifts from God to share and profit to the world.I know Jaime and Peven very well and both guys have a tremendous love and respect for great music and are very passionate about their craft.Im sure they will resolve their issues.I do think DHP which is also a very passionate House Music Web site and its members deserve a statement from Pevens camp resolving this amazing thread.

Ish i am not considering any of those statements from Peven as a resolve in any way to the obvious damage and hurt feelings that many of us DJS are feeling right now.I unlike my very good friend and ChosenFew brother AK did not ask for an apology from Peven bc i did not want to lead him to do something he may not feel like he needs or wants to do on his own.Whatever he does decide to do i hope he seeks advice from professional people bc it will have consequences one way or another.I love Pevens talent and his music but make no mistake i am a DJ and have many DJ friends over my 35yrs and we are a very close community who have no problem coming together when we feel one of our own or are craft is not being appreciated.Hopefully common sense will prevail and we will get a statement from Pevens camp that will address this once and for all.

We sure did, Billie is still posting more self absorbed, deluded nonsense about the DHP on her myspace page There seems to be a real problem keeping things in perspective.

I think the Peven camp made themselves very clear, anything more 'positive' that comes from them now would just be lip service and damage limitation. If and when the penny finally drops, I don't think I could bring myself to believe any schemed sincerity....no matter how much I love the music.

I'm sure this thread has had a lot of people checking out the new albums and singles they just happen to be promoting. I'd love to check them out, I always purchase Peven's music (UK resident) but this thread leaves a bad taste in the mouth. I went form "oh, Yes, new music" to "WTF?" in the space of 4secs. Class and decorum are seriously lacking.

The saddest thing is, Billie's naive enough to think the DHP is some old Chicago DJ's pensioner party, when in reality it's an amazingly diverse forum, read and posted on by people from all over this tiny planet called earth. This 'event' clearly has magnitude beyond her/they're understanding, which is further evidence of the ignorance exuded. This is the internet, this stuff NEVER goes away, it's always available for journalistic recall etc and can haunt you forever. I'm amazed by the lack of understanding and caution.
