Blackhawks vs. Canucks - Game 6

WHAT A GAME! Hawks up 7-5 with about 3 minutes to go in the 3rd period. Patrick Kane has a hat trick. One of the best games I've seen in quite a while - these Blackhawks are going to be a great team for years to come......JMJ

Both games tonight were crazy. Getting 7 goals on Luongo - hard to believe! It's easy to support the Hawks here in Winnipeg with them having several Winnipeg natives in the lineup.

The young Hawks have had a resurgence over the last two years. It was tough to be a fan of the team. They weren't winning and old man Wirtz wasn't making it any better. You never want to look at someone's death as a positive but once he passed they were able to do things that he would never approve of but helped in bringing fans back to the game. I've always been into hockey alittle ( I know that leaves me open for jokes a brotha that likes hockey ). But on the real the Blackhawks used to be a big deal in Chicago until a guy wearing a "23" jersey came to town. I thought just getting out of the first round was a realistic goal but at this point, keep it going. They seem to have done all the right things, firing Savard just four games into the seaon was crazy but since they had hired Bowman in the off season. I rode with his choice. Bowman happens to know alittle about hockey, just ask Pittsburgh and D-Town. The Bulls gave us an exciting playoff series against Boston but the team on the rise at 1901 W. Madison is the Blackhawks.

    Peace

Hahahahahahahaahaa - I was a big hockey fan growing up but lost interest after the European invasion (couldn't pronounce any of the players names - hahahaa).

And for years, the Blackhawks SUCKED. They were boring to watch. THIS team is alot of fun to watch - they're very aggressive, and they're really playing well together.

Plus three of the players are clients of mine......

They're building a team that is going to DOMINATE for years to come if they can keep them together......JMJ

Amazing game last night - the lead changes were crazy! Patrick Kane got his first ever hat-trick (what a game to get it in) to lead Chicago. I was quite pleased with the outcome, but my son wasn't... he was rooting for Vancouver. Chicago is in the Western Conference Finals for the first time since 1995 (they lost to Detroit that year) - way to go, Chi!

If Detroit wins tonight, they'll set an NHL record by closing out nine straight playoff series on the road (pretty incredible)... and it'll be my dream Original Six matchup!

The Washington Capitals/Pittsburgh Penguins game seven on Wednesday will also be quite compelling. Go Caps!

He really is the king. I watched Gretzky mostly from 1991 on, so didn't see his peak years, but to me Ovechkin is at least the best player since Gretzky/Lemieux era, and in some ways, he could be even better than them.

Sure do. I started following the Blackhawks when Tony Esposito was in goal, but sure, I remember Bannerman, Dominik Hasek (with the Hawks before he became a star), Ed Belfour.....JMJ

Sure - saw him, Bobby Hull, Bobby Orr, Tony Esposito all play live at Chicago Stadium in the early 70's. My grandfather was a season ticket holder.....JMJ

I am glad to see Chicago back in form...Toews is gonna have to toughen up a bit instead of crying to the ref every time he gets some stick though...

He's nowhere near as bad as Crosby at whining - not even close!
