Dave, I'm stealing your "Just sayin'" concept.......
All-American high school Quarterback in upstate NY can play for any football program in America (Option 1); but goes to Duke, but to play hoops under the legendary Coach K (Option 2).
Plays hoops and endures 4 years of Duke Hateration, but graduates with a Duke degree (Option 3).
Due to the fact that he played not one down of college football, he has, under NCAA rules, one year of college football that he can fill (Option 4).
At the same time, he was such a highly regarded quarterback (despite not playing a down in 4 years), he gets a call from the Green Bay Packers (Option 5).
He also looks at University of Michigan for its masters program and possibly QB there (Option 6).
Elects to go back to his hometown and attend Syracuse, where he'll start at QB (Option 7). He enrolls in the Masters Program at the famed Newhouse School, the best communications school in America on full scholarship (Option 8). After his football year is up, he will sit on the basketball bench as an assistant under the legendary Jim Boeheim, to build a coaching resume (Option 9).
Dave, my Duke hatin' has officially ceased.......until next year's tournament!
