Before you right off this post please hear me out don't shoot the messenger.
To get respect you must show respect. People’s expectations of the treatment they receive should be based on what they put out into the world.
On a page where people were praising Peven’s product Party of the Year
the compilation, Jamie 3:26 pops in with well I bought a blank cd from him so I don’t buy cd’s off of Peven anymore….
This is the same person who is distributing illegal edits of Peven’s music

Unfortunately Special came out on vinyl at the beginning of April 09.
The only other way it could be purchased was either on cd or mp3.
Also unfortunately I cannot locate a receipt after going through all of my receipts with any male from Chicago for that tune.
Which means either it was in fact bought on cd or acquired in a five fingered manner or passed down.
How does one expect an artist to continue bringing out music if number one they are not willing to buy it and number two they are not willing to respect the manner in which that artist planned to use their music.
If this said DL was a gift then it came with the following legal notice
Legal Notice
All Works On Peven Everett’s Studio Confession Ent nimbit. are copy written and protected by The Digital Millennium Copyright Act and International Copyright Law.
Bootleggers beware each infraction carries a possible 100,000 dollar fine and the Federal Bureau of Investigations will be notified.
So in turn as the Vice President of the company that Peven has created I called smack talking smack talking.
Unfortunately in this world some individuals would rather just get behind someone they know rather than get behind the truth.
As I have been around Peven 10 years and have scene the lack of professionalism he has been treated with it is very frustrating to see.
I was addressing certain people. Yes his fans could see what is happening to someone who mutually cares for them as they do him.
Instead of getting behind Peven what has happened is there is a backlash regarding people who hang out and drink liquor together.
There is no motive only rebuttel in what I had said.
Many people chose to chime in without the proper knowledge of what has happened and or not having read the post from page one.
I have also stated numerous times on the convo in question that I respect people’s feelings and I respect Peven’s fans.
What I do not respect are people who either a. steal music from an independent artist or b. slander their business practice when they are trying new formats with trial and error. This is what happens when people venture out solo. This is why I have so much respect for Peven’s fans as they take in all the good and sometimes as a human the occasional mistake.
If you didn’t steal and you didn’t cheat him it’s of no consequence to you.
I meant no harm to anyone really.
I just have the right to challenge someone who thinks there is a blind eye with respects to what they are saying as maybe they will think about what they say in the future.
Maybe they will think about what they remix in the future.
Please don’t be sore at me I was doing my job.
For any innocent bystanders that were offended I apologize to you.
Further more there are all kinds of ways to contact Peven regarding business ventures.
If you use the proper channels then there really wouldn’t be any beef.
There have been a lot of comments made about Peven’s disliking dj’s.
That’s not true. Peven like anyone doesn’t like being ripped off.
If I stole a man’s play book and called it my game who can predict the outcome.
In terms of Peven’s attendance record well I have seen him miss one gig due to a car accident that one of his musicians was in and he missed one because he had to go to the hospital.
Other than that Peven has never missed a show in 22 years not a bad track record.
Especially when you consider that the major label artists are canceling entire tours.
At least Peven gives a reschedule option.
Please forgive any mis-pellings that you may encounter I have not been feeling well
And this is time consuming,
This is my last attempt to explain things and I really don’t have the energy to continue.
So to everyone I will see you around because I am not going anywhere.
I will continue to fight for Peven’s copyrights as they are his rights and I am an officer of his company.
If I can’t find you anywhere else that means I have to do it in front of everyone.
Obviously this doesn’t apply to live mixing it applies to recording and distributing like the infringement above.
Artists are supposed to get royalties when their songs are played in clubs this is why the Note or Flat Iron or whatever the hell has a jukebox now from what I understand. Other countries do abide by this I get the paperwork. America is always trying to bring the random guy down with their corporate sensibility. So that the American Dream so to speak is limited to only a certain few. Which I would think nobody would understand better than the people on this page.
On that fight the good fight and be easy
Miss Jewell
