Somebody should send some yarn and cheesecake over to the people over at DHP. I have never seen men so excited to engage in gossip in my life. The natural order is all f-ed up. Im not even trying to insult the ladies. I like people who can be articulate and don't have to lie or twist words around to be on what they look at as the winning side of a convo.
The people who actually participate meaning add entries on the forums well at least 90 percent are the most petty, ignnorant, tantrum having brats I have ever witnessed. And I grew up around republicans.(it was hell)
They cannot handle the confrontation that arises when someone asks them to stop pirating music even if you start out nice about it.
I AM ASHAMED TO HAVE CALLED MYSELF A PART OF THE DANCE MUSIC SCENE HERE. THIS IS WHAT HAS KILLED IT MAJOR EGO WITH NO BACKING. THIEVES LAZINESS for shame CHICAGO WTF
I have done nothing but supported this scene for years and now the love that I have for it is gone. Or almost I still love some of the people but can't really figure out how they do it.
I have a DJ non shitlist that I am comprising for those in and out of town.
There are some really great people that love music out here that I appreciate and we all share with one another.
The people listed are all good people that generally have drama free parties that are really fun.
For all you aspiring dj's keep a couple of things in mind.
IT IS NEVER OK TO ALTER AND RECORD MUSIC YOU DIDN'T MAKE YOURSELF WITHOUT THE CONSENT AND COMPENSATION TO THE ARTIST.

You let stuff go cuz it comes around to being beneficial if you know how to work it right.

quite frankly, he's made his opinion on the house scene and on DJ's known so he does need to take control of his process. He needs to take control of his process and move his ass on over to smooth jazz 105.9...

my opinion still stands... dude got jerked by Pharrell, couldn't find a way to handle that so he's jumping all over Jamie because:

    a. he thinks he can
    b. he knew he couldn't do it to pharrell
    c. of his existing disdain for the house scene

On the real, you know what really happened?

He saw that Jamie 3:26 edit on someone else's playlist and heard people talking about it and jumped the gun thinking Jamie had made an edit, pressed it and was selling it and profiting off the bootlegs.

Given his pre-existing opinions on the house scene, DJ's and the fact that he got jacked by Pharrell and couldn't do shit about it, he jumped the gun and tried to go for Jamie's throat.

It started out as a simple misunderstanding that really could have been squashed and turned into a really strong musical relationship between Jamie & Peven that could have benefited them both musically and financially but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.....

Jamie, consider this good luck on your part because you clearly woulda been getting into business with some psycopaths had it taken that turn and woulda been far more headache than it's worth.

already made this analysis about 40 pages ago, your other comment was the right one, which is if you are gonna have your stuff remixed why not go with timmy over all others?

What's strange is that Peven is from Chicago and should know better.

You got multi-platinum mainstream artists who go to great lengths to ensure they don't alienate fans but this cat grabs a shotgun and chases Househeads off his yard?

    "Y'all git from on'round heah!"

    Fine. I's goin', boss.
