Ladies, this is not a weapon of choice, rapes are hapenning on a daily basis for more than 5 years there. The rapists are pillaging villages and they are raping everyone to maintain a climate of fear and opression.
This is intimidation at worst, and it can go with murders as well. Many of the raped women are also mutilated and molested during their rapes.

Congo is the war that counts the highest number of deaths after WWII, it has never ended since 92-93. The hypocrisy is full there, only the United Nations are still neutral, but France, Belgium and India are the biggest bastards when it comes to diplomacy there.

When you know that the french embassy has deported the criminals by plane to set them free in other African countries in the Tutsi/Wutu's genocide, you can have a clue on why peace is not achieved there.

Like always, when the guerilla is installed, the kids and women are the first to be touched by the (next) war atrocities.

Thanks for the article Kara, even if it's very narrow-minded (to me at least).
I guess the fact that it was written for womenenews is somehow centered around the rapes and not the whole situation, over the geopolitics of this region and history.
