What is the best (and professional) MP3 encoder?

I'm looking for a professional encoder to make my wav to mp3.
Actually, my sounds are going out of Reason and I "treat" them to 320 Stereo 44Hz via WaveLab, using lame.

Any recommandations? I really don't know much about it.

    Thanks in advance.

Maybe it's a great encoder, I wonder if you can choose which frequencies can be shut down to gain space (in another encoder), just to know what tools exist.

    I will try DBPoweramp : http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm

    Thanks

Stick with Wavelab! You can set the encoding yourself.
    Just dig a little deeper.
Do some setting/encoding and hear for yourself,
and while listening check your file reducement (Mb, kilobytes)
Note; always use the original file when you encode, otherwise you will be encoding an encoded file... and I will be repeating myself...

I'd guide you but I'm out of my pc untill oktober.
