Well since the question is the most "influential"... I'd have to say T-Pain.
The man has gotten a lot of folks jackin his sound; including Lil' Wayne and Kanye, which some I see some have already listed.

I gotta agree. T-pain was using auto-tune before Lil Wayne and Kanye and caused an r&b staple like R. Kelly to feature him on remixes. T-pain's sound is THE sound we hear on top 40 radio. But I hope and pray Q-tip's "Renaissance", and Rafael Saadiq's "The Way I See It" will influence artists to wanna make music again and not tinkerbell beats on their computers. Those were the two best albums I heard all year. And Saadiq killed it at Bonnaroo last week.
