I am a newb to the dhp and i wanted to know out of the top 40 common disco classics which ones can you not help but love no matter how many hundred or thousands of times you heard them. And that you may not want to admit you still like.

"Funkanova" by Wood, Brass, and Steel. One of the best instrumentals I've ever heard before or since 1976.

What i ment by top 40 were the were the common classic disco songs you would here either at the parties or on the mix shows. And no matter how much you heard them you still love those songs.

Rock You Baby - I can't understand it, but this one makes me cry. I think it must be how he sings this song, and the sentiment. It's gotta be the falsetto. "Rock you baby, aaaah AAAAHHHHHH!"

I love the Nightlife - This woman's attitude while singing it, I've enjoyed this song since I was 6 years old (1978) and heard it in the land of no-dance, Cape Cod. And I thought to myself, "yes, maybe I too will one day love the nightlife on the disco round, as she obviously seems to."
