Any tips for games similar to Metal Gear Solid?

The MGS series is kind of in a league of it's own. However I think you should try Killzone 2 (first person shooter). I bought the first one on the PS2 (despite some very mixed reviews) and enjoyed it quite a bit. Will probably pick up part 2 when the price goes down a bit. Here is some video footage:
