You won't see a whole lot of male homosexual situations in "mainstream" media because that's not what straight men will admit to as a turn-on. On the other hand, for some reason men find lesbianism tres erotic. I don't get it, but...

I'm more concerned with the blatant images of children having sex. I'm not talking about kiddie porn, but the suggestion that it's okay for 15-16-17 year-olds to have sexual relations is very disturbing to me. In the real world I have see that they are simply not ready for it. I even had one 17 year-old girl tell me she was ashamed that she was 16 virginity. Most of her friends lost theirs at 12...TWELVE!!

it has become sickening, devasting and destructive to society..trust me, we will pay for this at some point and time...and not in a good way...some of us are beginning to see how destructive this type of media lynching can be to our families and communities..

Yeah you have to watch out for commericals. My eight year old son knows why to much for his age. I am driving talking to my sister about her newborn and she talking about that she wasn't having another one. He comes out and says I am not going to get anyone pregant because I am going to use protection. I turned around asked him were he learned that from he said I see the commericals. I think TV particularly has become literally painful. I just can't watch it. The images, the cheaply produced "reality" shows, the snarling political pundits, the 6packAbs commercials, the GirlsGoneBad commercials and on and on and on...it's all sickening. Is this what we are demanding to see? Is the media simply responding to a demand or are they creating one?

I hear you about the sleaze factor, though. It's out of control. I'm a little put off by the fact that when folks start talking about the sleaze factor, they immediately ping on homosexuals, as though that is, in itself, sleazy. I'm sure many folks feel that way, but I disagree. As I said, I'm far more put off by depiction of young teens having sex, sneaking out to raves and doing drugs and alcohol.

Typically, humans need bigger and bigger thrills as they become desensitized to one thing or another. "Fear Factor" should be called "Disgusting Factor" in my opinion. People going on TV to find a "mate" and ending up sleeping with 6-7 people (it's not graphic, but implied). Murder as an interpersonal skill. Greed is good????

Do you know most cops never fire their weapon in the line of duty during their entire career? You would never know that from TV or movies.

As far as QaF is concern, yes, it is quite graphic, as is OZ. I don't think I'd use the word "atrocious," but it is graphic. But then again, that's pay TV. It's not just floating through the airways.
