    Well put. Totally agree.

Do I detect hate in this statement? You sound extremly bitter.. Lola IS a very good Dj and her ear is on some other/deeper stuff compared to some of the other djs in NY.

Just a slightly different social circle than what most people here are in...but in terms of sound, I would bet that 99% of the peeps on here would probably be into a Fred P set...
    You should book him ray.

Glad to see Terzian on the list. I have really been digging his stuff this year. Jamie knows how I feel about him, that's family. Good seeing some Jersey DJ's as well in Jihad and Da Funk One.

Finally, it's sad that only Donna and Lola are holding it down for the women on the list, would love to see more female names in the future, but things are what they are I suppose. Big ups to both of you ladies for hanging in there and doing the damn thang week in and week out!

Is it me, or are people actually more complimentary about the list this year?

Sometimes peeps don't look outside of their particular circle and thus don't know when something good is going on. But there are heads all over who have been working at it for a long time and are GOOD, it's just that people on here haven't heard of them (yet).

    btw, thanks Sue T
Fred's production work is pretty interesting as well.

31)JEROME HICKS- never heard of him
DJ Jerome Hicks has held residencies in Baltimore's Premiere House/Dance venues such as Odells, Fantasy & The Paradox since the early eighties. Having shared the turntables with lengends like Larry Patterson, Tee Scott, Tony Humphries, Frankie Knuckles, David Morales, Bruce Forrest, Louie Vega, Terry Hunter, Quentin Harris and many more. With a great love and appreciation for the music he's currently the resident DJ of Deep Sugar the Party. Nicknamed the maestro by his crew Jerome approaches the decks with the cool sophistication and artistry of a certified veteran.
