Tiger-Rama: Tiger on Vanity Fair cover

Interesting photos. Although this was shot before the scandalousness came out, the images are directly counter to the controlled Tiger pix we are used to...
Liebowitz has done a great job of capturing images that have no clear relation to our usual images of Mr. Woods. Some are saying he looks creepy on this cover:

I don't like the cover pic, it looks like it should be titled "Recreation time at Sing Sing". Not attractive at all.

So no "thugged up" look for Sue T?

Quite a contrast to the smiling polo shirt wearing Tiger....

LOL! He does look a bit...ummm...thuggish ruggish bone, doesn't he? I don't dislike it, but I find it disturbing in some way...like we've been suckered all along and there's this smouldering persona that fits the name "Tiger" better than the ken doll he usually is.

I had a 71 Dodge with a slant six when in Florida, those guys would have loved me, even being the nerdy guy. No skull cap though.

Tiger looks like an intense athlete in training in this photo, like many other intense athlete in training photos. It's just that we don't see Tiger the athlete as opposed to Tiger the image-conscious golfer often.

I agree! I'm still mad at the jackass that hit my 72 Duster and bent the frickin' frame after my Dad and I had done all this restoration work to it! I LOVED gunnin' that thing past the little rice-burners w their noisy glass pipes...

eek! dusters are dope! i'm a simple guy, but if i ever had some extra money, certain older cars would be my vice.

i am so tired of the tuner boy, fast & the furious wanna be's that have taken over the state...where i just moved from was taken over by these guys in hondas and toyotas. new place none to speak of just yet. it was a plague, with the cops doing nada about it. all night, back and forth. its the fad that's beyond played out. now, i drive a toyota as my daily driver, because its reliable. but i have no delusions about putting in $30K into a f*ckin' toyota to look and sound like a cheeseball. if i drive through certain parts of jersey, especially late at night, i get every *asshole trying to race me at lights. they can see i'm obviously not interested but they take off and then flash their blinkers like they won anyway! these little f*ckers need to be rounded up and put in bootcamp or something.

i miss certain older cars because of how reliable and easy to work on they were. now you look at one wrong and all sorts of lights go on etc. you have to take it in for everything, dealers and mechanics have you by the balls. can't even change a damn belt on my car because you have to take half the damn engine apart and have all sorts of special tools, a lift, specialized computers etc. i bought some of my own diagnostic gear because i got tired of places trying to rip me off. always go in prepared and sounding like you already know what to fix.

I HATE them too. Noisy and so irritating. And can't drive worth a lick! If I still had my 73 camaro or my duster...whooo - hooo!
I used to do my own tune ups n stuff...but it's too much of a pain, I don't hv a hoist or a lift here at the house and the new engines are such a PAIN to deal with! I agree w you wholeheartedly!
