- 1751: Port-au-Prince city went down (totally)

And what efforts and energy are you talking about? Haiti has been a mess for 50 years!




Problem is that Haiti has been registered for at least 3 centuries as a risky seismic region.
I doubt that human activity has been engaging the earthquakes of:
- 1751: Port-au-Prince city went down (totally)
- 1771: Port-au-Prince again, magnitude 7.5
- 1842: Major quake, 10 000 people killed
- 1946: Dominican Republic / magnitude 8 (oh yeah, maybe this one...)

Then, please explain to me how they did it in 1946 and 2001, while no-one noticed anything?
How large is Haiti for letting people dig 2 miles down holes?
