    Cancun

I recently reconnected with some high school buddies,a trip is being planned to cancun. It's tired to go to cancun at 32,this is a twenty something year old town.Would much rather go with a group of people to a place like Spain. Why are grown men so interested in recapturing thier youth?

Wont hold my breath for that either at 32 i was too young to have gone there. If it were a sound factory bar reunion or a Nells reunion then i would most likely be excited.

So your friends were planning a trip around spring break? That's pretty much teeny bopper time. Maybe you went @ the wrong time or you've been slightly misinformed.

Cancun is good. Like Kaoos said, partygoers of all ages, warm weather, and beautiful water. As long as you don't go during Spring Break you will be fine.

Going back there in June.I kinda had the same feeling as you,but I was wrong as hell.We had so much fun and the hotel was sick.All-inclusive and it was top notch.

It's not crazy down there when it's not spring break...and I didn't know the water was so damn beautiful.Blue water, dope beaches.

Just go and stop being stubborn.

what about ancient ruins. if you go, go see the "islas de mujers" for culture.

In Pre-Columbian times the island was sacred to the Mayan aged goddess of childbirth and medicine, Ix Chel. When the Spanish arrived here in the 16th century they named it "Isla Mujeres" meaning "Island of Women" because of the many cult images of goddesses here.

unless things have changed I think you can go to Cuba if you have family there but no tourists visa will be issued for just vacation purposes....I could be wrong though.

I went to Cuba in 1997 from Cancun via a short boat tour trip. I was there for maybe 5 hours it does have a nice beach from what I could remember but it was just as nice & clean as Cancun. we stopped at Mariel Cuba briefly (did not get off the boat) and then Havana but the tour guide warned us not to venture into town and stay close to the resort area.

I went to Cancun last year, during spring break. I just turned 33. PHC - I was in the same dilemna as you. Just go and have fun. Ya, there are a lot of youngin's, but it's fun for all ages.

    Was a crazy getaway overall.....lol.

    Stayed at Oasis Viva Beach
    - rooms are either good or bad - depends what package you purchase (all ocean view rooms - a huge plus).
    - location was excellent - 10 min walk from the clubs, and a mall right across the street.
    - food was alright > better than a few resorts I've been to.
    - awesome for meeting people.
    - sweet beach

    Good times to the max.

Mexico is not the only way to Cuba. You can go via the Dominican Republic, the Bahamas, Canada or anywhere outside the U.S. that has flights to Cuba.
