Greatest Free Agent pick ups

so on mike and mike this morning they were discussing in if Drew Brees was one of the best free agent aquisitions in the NFL, then they went on to talk about other sports. They mentioned Shaq to the Lakers, Steve Nash to the Suns, Reggie Jackson to the Yankees, Bonds to the Giants, yadda yadda

They mentioned that Bonds might be one of the best ones, because of his stats* after joining the Giants, but I have to disagree. So what if you broke a million records, or got MVPs and what not, if you are a top-tier athlete, and you didnt bring a ring after the team picked you up, you shouldnt even be mentioned as one of the best (free agent pick ups)
