You need to be wishing the doctors & nurses 'good luck' 'cause once she gets up off that table...she's gonna be running up and down the halls in her wheel chair chasing the cute doctors & orderlies.

Kelli is doing fine, they have just given her Dilaudid and it's just kicking in. She says thank you for the well wishes. She also can not go to sleep and is making up rather creative songs, the best of which is "I'm in the Vestibule of Hell" I kid you not!

    whew.....

Awwww thank you for alllll the well wishes guys...

Im back home safe and sound and right now Im pain free Yaaaay pain coctail!

I have to admit I have never had a broke ANYTHING before and it was quite an experience. I went to Bayview Johns Hopkins and the hospital and the staff (except one silly azz therapist who almost caught a hot one!!! ) were EXCEPTIONAL. all my nurses and nurse techs were knowledgeable, accomodating and WONDERFUL ... I dont know if a wonderful hospital experience is a oxymoron but that is what I had.

I got some screws and a plate put in my ankle and the recovery pain is UNTHINKABLE!!! GEEEEZUS JOSEPH AND MARY! the staff and doctors made sure they constantly adjusted my pain meds so I was comfortable and got my pain to a manageable level.

My room was AWESOME, and listening to Pandora on my BB was DELIGHTFUL .... it helped to divert my attention away from my pain.

Bayview is a leading hospital in orthopedic surgery and rehab.... I had rehab all day today and I was sent home with EVERYTHING I needed.

Me and my nurse April (COOOOOL azz chick! loved her !!!) and her boss the charge nurse watched the Health Care Summit this afternoon while I waited to be discharged.... and we were yelling at the tv at the Repubs... they were yelling WE work in this quagmeyer you all created... I hope Obama pulls it off and gets the Public Option also.

This was a 28 yr old caucasian girl from Shrewsberry PA (she commutes) and her boss is a 57 yr old caucasian woman who said Healthcare is an issue that effects ALL Americans and then said they are tired of right wingers painting the Healthcare Bill as Welfare. The charge nurse called anyone Dem or Repub who didnt vote for healthcare reform Unamerican

I sat there high off of meds ... totally astounded. When I was able and between my songwriting I discussed Healthcare with the attending staff. Most were for it.... some were against it... but only because they didnt understand what was really being presented vs talking points

The staff felt a lil sorry for me cuz my family was @ the hospital with my sister who had serious surgery procedures. We called my sister and the nurses and I wished her well over the phone!!!! They told her if the nurses and doctors dont treat her like Im being treated here... she should come to Bayview!!!! She chuckled and then said thanks to them and said they better treat her well cuz her older sister is a muthaphucca and dont play!!! lol

I go in next week for my followup with my surgeon and to get a walking boot ... he said if I heal well I will have a walking book within a week if I heal a lil slower .... I will have a walking boot in 2 weeks

What was most interesting ... I had an encounter with a iggnant therapist who wanted to rush my rehab and to get me "walking" right after my surgery so they could get me "in and out" and the hospital wouldnt be wasting a room on someone who didnt need it.... This heffa actually said that shyt to me .... Well I handled her and 2 days later after I left the hospital I was given a full apology from the Head of her department and I was informed she was officially repremanded. My nurse "April" sent an email to her boss about how I was treated, AND then we my nurse, my tech, and my doctor discussed the issue about what I experienced and how it related to our current HealthCare system and the attitudes and climate of it all.

It tripped me out that my current hospital stay and my current healthcare sitch was sooooo appropo to current national discussion. We talked all three days about my sitch, insurance, the lack of insurance, no insurance and how people are reallllllly struggling with healthcare and healthcare bills.

what an experience....! on sooooo many levels.

And yes The Vestibule of Helll will be release next week... I gotta find some one to do the remix! lol

long read... I know, Where's that sexsthy azz Colin Powell.

Kelz glad you are coming along and my best to your Sister and her situation.

The whole "healthcare" issue and how you were able to bear witness to it's disfunction as it was being discussed is one of those "only in America" experiences - ridiculous!

Kel, have a speedy recovery and feel better
As for the charges against me, I am unconcerned. I am beyond their timid lying morality, and so I am beyond caring.
