not always about hating what you do, but the knowledge, experience and perspective you gain in the process, no matter how successful you are you should be able to survey your life and landscape and find choices you made that could have been done better or look at the careers of peers and say, that looks cool, i could do that too

i fell into my current profession by accident. never thought i'd be a suit but here i am sitting in a beautiful office with a view of the entire city (including the islands). i'm working with a great team, and the opportunity to travel is a nice perk.

I worked in record shops for most of my working life up till 5 years Ago when I moved to an I.T firm where I worked my way up to manage a small team
I have just been made redundant and for the first time in years I feel totaly lost and don't no what to do
looking fir a new career/job in the current climate is not easy and I'm finding it daunting!
Not at all happy about now :-(

If I had to do it all over again...I would have stuck it out with STEM (Science Tech Eng Math) rather than this Liberal Arts ish.

I would have stayed in the Army. I would have gotten a degree and in design or marketing instead and possibly done the Info Tech degree later on. I would have been paid less but I wouldve been happier. Basically I want a job/ career where I love going to work. I want to REALLY like what I do.
