Guess What BLS is playing Right Now?

Follow Me. The most overplayed and hated house music record of all time. But I have fond memories of this song at Hubert Street...

When this FIRST came out and BEFORE it got overplayed to death, we LIVED on the dance floor at Hubert Street. Trust. And this was during that brief time when we were having Sunday afternoon tea parties (Before Body & Soul arrived) because the cops were stressing the after hour affair.

But I do remember even after all the overplay, our Maestro kept banging it.

Honestly, the first time I ever heard Follow Me was on Hubert Street circa 1990-something. Wouldn't know what was beat to death in Jerzee. In those days I lived in the Village and laughed at the children going down in that PATH station hole on Christopher Street.

It was already played out by the time Hubert street opened up...

BTW- Does anyone remember the Summerstage when Timmy opened his set with that cut? Funny enough, cats on the P were giving it a beatdown on the message board for days following up to the event. We were like, 'I wonder if Timmy's been reading DHP' and decided to learn us'..

I remember that. I was cracking up as soon as he dropped that record.

Folks here forget that Timmy used to run this on the regular at Hubert Street. Love it or hate it, people here need to get over the fact that this was one house track that blew up outside of the underground, and (love it or hate) has been established a certfied house classic (clap or gag - ha ha ha!)
