Yeah, dude was disrespectful to the president, but he doesn't give a shit. The POTUS is just keeping it moving and trying to get shit done.
That shit won't happen in a William Wilson administration

You disrespect the President and you disappear. Dental records and all.

Seriously, he needs to give a shit. A leader can't appear weak. Ever.

i said he was dead in the water "at this point in his term", meaning the same point that obama is in now, meaning the first quarter of his second year, i'm saying rollins is exaggerating, or lying, to say that reagan accomplished all of their goals in the first two years, that's just bullshit - but a way to say that obama is ineffective at this same point in his term

I dont think "refusing to get in the mud" is appearing weak. To raise the bar of politics you have to practice what you are trying to install. The interviewer was disrespectful, and I would take a President with decorum and a steady demeanor over a hot headed "tit for tat" lets trade insults type of Prez.

I feel you... I do ... but Im trying to really understand the psychology behind the POTUS demeanor and personality and approaches. He is a very deliberate and exacting person. IMO he made the interviewer look unprofessional and almost childish. I appreciate that the POTUS was more a'tuned to giving factual information and at times fighting to do so rather than muddle in the mire with FOX.

I must admit ... I have imagined the POTUS saying in so many words, Im the Prez, kiss my azz LOL LOL.

I am beginning to understand his tactics a lil more.

what is the game where the first person says something and they pass it along and the last person has said something completely different?

A Harvard trained lawyer doesnt have to "get in the mud" to shut a fool down.

He didnt make the interviewer look childish at all. He let himself get bullied by a peon. That's not supposed to happen. Folks can sugarcoat this any way they want. Fox looked bad and so did the president.

There is biblical precedent. Go back to Moses. That motherfucker was merciless.

Egyptian enemies: He let those fools get to the middle of the sea and dropped that shit on em

Hebrew enemies: He found them worshipping an idol and obliterated them and he told the rest of those fuckos that they would NEVER sea the Promised land - walk around this bitch a bit and you'll be quicker to speak up when some ill shit goes down, shitheads

Canaanite enemies - histories first genocide: "die motherfuckers" Moses channeled Arlo Guthrie: "This land is our land, and only OUR land, and if you don't get off, We'll blow your heads off!"

You can't be easy on ones enemies, trust me Mortimer, I know

I guess I just don't see it that way either, PWW. Fox and the right would love nothing more than to have "gotten to" Obama--created a "scene" where the president got pissed, walked out on the interview, etc. He just tried to play it cool. He's focused on the substance, not the style, and just ain't trippin' on the power thing. He knows he has it. When the interview was over, he walked down the hall from the Blue Room to the Oval, and homeboy caught a cab somewhere.

What I saw wasn't so much the guy bullying or even trying to bully the Prez, just being disrespectful because he didn't get the answers he wanted. Notice when he was interrupting he tried to get to Repub talking points.

I get it... and I also understand the converse (PWWs position) I was there.... but he really realllllllly is focused on changing the TONE and interaction and the level of the rhetoric... question is are WE ready?

We love the "bloodsport" mindset of politics so much that we are stuck in it. and the POTUS is trying to change that. I think.

He's not. Mad al Qaeda cats are waking up to drones. Daily. He needs to show that same resolve with his political enemies. But he doesn't. Beer on the lawn? Getting dissed by news people? Not in my administration.

PWW and others, I have to disagree.

If you are waiting for the POTUS to get into a mud slinging event with his enemies, then don't hold your breath. Pursuant to getting elected, at what point did you see the POTUS stoop to the level of his detractors? I posit that it never happened.

In the situation before you, it was never going to happen either. That's simply not the way it's done. The POTUS smashed em all, but they have yet to realize what hit them.

Stand back and appreciate what AK has illuminated for you.

PWW's reference to Moses, funny though it may be, simple does not apply (for more reasons than I care to wax on about).

Health care is an issue that is bigger than any of the right will admit. Without a badly need fix of the American health care system, there will eventually be one outcome, i.e.,a national disaster. The POTUS knows this and, hence, his entry into the den of fools to get his message out.

I'm on my cell so forgive any typos and poor grammer.

    Peace
    TAC
