    Google Documents...anyone using it?

For work, school, whatever. How do you like it? I'm using it to save paper, students post their work and share it with me. The feature that lets me see when things were worked on is a great way to track group participation. The Presentation feature is handy, as is the Word type feature! This means that students who don't have Word or PowerPoint can still do their work without loads of shenanigans and it kills some well-worn excuses for the Whiner Squad...

Being able to comment on the work and give helpful feedback without killing a thousand trees is a blessing!

But I wonder if its functionality has limits I should worry about. I noticed that the editing features are more limited than in the actual programs, but that's not really an issue right now...

    What say you all?

Also wonder if there's something similar out there that any one recommends.

    Trying Google Apps

I have been trying GApps and MS Cloud for my desktop at home and on my iPhone. Still trying to figure where to warehouse app functionality. I have been using the web for storage for years, but find "functionality" hard to part with for my iPhone, since I cut all ties with ATT and rely solely on hotspots.
I have found a cool way to format documents and spreadsheet using my desktop at home, then saving them as drafts on my iPhone. When I want to create a new document or spreadsheet, I just edit it with Quickoffice for the iPhone. Functionality is limited, but task is accomplished without wasting any money or time.

I can't comment on Google Docs but Open Office is a very nice free alternative to the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point. etc).

and it allows users to save files in the common MS Office file types (.doc) if desired.
