Holy shit that party was so nice.

It's been years since I've been to the Shelter but man, there is no party like it in NYC. The energy of the dancers was amazing and that sound system gives the music a lot of punch.

I arrived at around 11:30 (which is relatively late) but I got caught up in the vibe immediately. Between songs I haven't heard in awhile like How Deep is Your Love and relatively new songs that I haven't heard, Timmy was on point. To me the peak was between 12:15 and 1:00. I'm not sure what many of the songs were but they were hot. He brought things down with a few classics before closing at 2:00. I'm not convinced about the hype surrounding Black Coffee's Superman but the crowd loved and that's just one song out of many I heard during the party.

I like the space for the dance floor, it looks just right with lots of baby powder on the floor. It's a nice change from dancing on sticky floors filled with spilled alcohol.

Saw a few familiar faces. The only thing really missing was seeing Royce. I didn't know him too well but he always took the time to greet me every time I stopped by the Shelter. R.I.P. Royce.

Hopefully the time between visits to the Shelter will be as big going forward.

I almost went......was in the city and this was the only party I considered going to.

So, how late is it open on Sunday? Can someone just roll in at like 11 in the morning?

Glad you enjoyed, Myron. Timmy always delivers. I'm still repairing brain cells (and bank accounts) from WMC but glad to know Timmy turned it out and the sound system is back on par. I will return. I can't stay away.
You'll have to excuse me. I'm the product of a broken disco.

i was there on sunday too... it's been months since i got my groove on with the shelter headz. i went to the anniversary party at WMC and haven't been able to stop dancing since, so i figured i would wake up early and hit the club by 9am.

the music and vibe on sunday was niiiiiiiiiiiice and i had a great time. i danced really hard and felt great afterwards - smiled and laughed the rest of the day. you know it was a good shelter session when you're still singing songs from the party almost 2 days later.

timmy blended "superman" with a HOT deep house track that he played again at two other points during the party. i would give anything to know the name of that song.

i also want to know the name of the track he closed the party with (he closed the WMC party with it too, so this must be his shyt these days) is also a sexy, deep track. my friend tried to ask him what it was and he just mumbled "blue" something and said it's still unreleased. i can't stop singing the melody in my head.

i also saw richierich in the house!!! i didn't realize he moved to the area, so i look forward to seeing him at the parties more regularly.
