Just wondering if anyone else likes Depeche Mode?
I like their earlier stuff, the more electronic stuff. Depeche Mode 101 brings back crazy, but very fond highschool memories.

I always liked the housed up remix of Strange Love, and Just Can't Get Enough isn't bad.

    Depeche Mode are awesome.

Try to find a copy of Shep Pettibone's remix of Behind The Wheel. Brilliant.

Also, Big Muff - possibly the first ever trance record!

    I used to love Depeche,
but Music fo the Masses was later than 82-86, more like 87-88.

Looking back at their music now, it does sound a bit cheesy, like "Just can't get enough" and all the stuff from their first couple albums. But, it gets more serious and more innovative later. Violator was the shit, back when it first came out, and Songs of Faith and Devotion was an amazing transformation into to spiritual rock, and is definitely my favorite DM album. Ultra was not bad, but the last one was a little off.

I love their older stuff. I remember when I first heard "The meaning of Love" & "Get the Balance Right". It was fun early 80's music.
