True Blood will have more creatures than just werewolves and vamps.
My only complaint about the show (this season) is the concept of Sam's parentage. They have Sam's parents portrayed as a full-blooded Shifter and a human and they have 2 Shifter children. In the book series only 2 full bloods can produce a full blood and only the first child of any one couple is a shifter. Mixed parentage only results in smarter, more athletically gifted children.
More creatures in that rural area the police are investigating. But I think sam's brother shouldn't be a shifter if 1 full blood and 1 human has 2 children only the first is a shifter and that's it. Lemme go back to the book...

Has to be 2 shifters or all children are regular.

Hey DG what book are you up to? I just finished book 10. Even though they are the same characters as in the books I try not to compare too much because it's disappointing: Vampires selling blood, Jason and Andy as best buds, Jessica, and worst of all no Bubba (Elvis) BAH!

Dexter could either be interesting or a total disaster. The writers/director have already admitted they have fucked up and painted themselves into a corner with the way they handled last season.

Hehe, I have the latest book. And btw Lafayette was supposed to die and not the voodoo chick but because he was liked and had so many fans they penciled him in. And Yeah Dexter ended abruptly strange although I liked it. But I did like his wifes character. Maybe he was dreaming? lol

I thought they too (Dexter) were quasi-following the book series

Bill's blood was used to save Sam's life, so Bill's essence has seeped into Sam a little. Its kinda like when Sookie had the sexual dreams about Eric, who's blood was used to save her life.

I had previously been sceptical to the point of bias about the whole vampire/romance hype. Until last week a mate of mine, whose judgment and taste I generally swear by told me to check out True Blood. So, got into the first season over the weekend, and:

My my, she is delicious. Gap teeth, shorts, drawl and all. Very very hot.

This. But *spoiler alert if you haven't watched season 3*

They killed him off beginning of season 3.
