Alien vs. Predator movie

I'm a huge fan of the Alien Series and I've enjoyed the Predator films. I was never crazy about the Video games.

So what do you think about this movie set to be released next August? Lance Henriksen (Bishop) will be one of the characters in the movie.

I hope they don't make the aliens and predators all CGI. The alien from Alien 3 and Resurrection in it's CGI form was not convincing. I hope HR Giger will work on this movie.

and it's an old idea played in a comic book series from darkhorse comics. yeah that's why i'm square root. the books were okay, but had to much human involvement. blah blah blah blahblah blahblah blah and the movie will suck, but i'll watch and wish for those couple hours back.

To tell you the truth, no. IMO I think it will hurt an already injured Alien Franchise. Predator 2 was not the best thing around but the ideas within the film were interesting.

IMO what killed the Alien Franchise was the fact that they killed off Hicks and Newt in the third film. But the concept of the Alien taking on the characterists of a Dog was something that should've been dealt with in the fourth film. Great expectations that went unheard.

I'm one of the few people who actually enjoyed Predator 2. I look forward to seeing the Predator kicking some Alien ass. Remember in Predator 2 when they showed the inside of his ship? There were skeletons taken from species throughout the galaxy. One of them was an Alien.

What's next? Godzilla vs Beethoven? Bambi vs Jaws? And imagine the porn-pastiches of the latter one

The film business has become a den of unoriginality (which is part of the reason for me to remain independent for a while longer).

Not every great creative idea is meant to be adapted into a film. Comics/graphic novels are already a powerful visual medium. I say don't mess with it.
