I won't comment on the music itself, because it's not really what I listen to. The mixing is competent (I skimmed it most of it), but since the mix is only 20 minutes long, there are only so many transitions to evaluate, so I'd suggest posting a longer mix. A couple of minor considerations: truncate the several seconds of dead air at the beginning and end. And I personally found the extended 40 second guitar intro redundant and long-winded for a short mix--but that is just an opinion. Hope that helps.

"I won't comment on the music itself, because it's not really what I listen to..."

--I am really into deep soulful vocal house but unfortunately that's a little to deep for the scene I'm currently surrounded by.

"...there are only so many transitions to evaluate, so I'd suggest posting a longer mix."

--I will post a longer mix next time.

"truncate the several seconds of dead air at the beginning and end."

    --Most definitely!

"the extended 40 second guitar intro redundant and long-winded for a short mix."

--I understand and agree it could have been shorter.

Sandisco, thanks so much for your help and your opinions are very much appreciated. I wanted brutally honest responses and I know this is the place to come for that. HAHA!
I know that my personal opinion on the local talent here is rough. But hey they pack in in here with minimum effort. So I guess the masses here just don't know any better or they are just hungry to dance. I think it may be a little of both.

Well, there's a fine line between being honest and brutally honest. I prefer the former.

It's always unfortunate when your own tastes are out of sync with the local crowd's--makes it more of a job than a passion.

Hello again! Last mix I posted was too short so I went back to lab to cook up something longer. I also corrected some tech issue that occured in the last rendition. This is basically a sample of what I can bring to the party so I tried to cover a few genres. If you dig deep soulful vocal stuff it is here, if you dig latin flavored tunes its here, and also you can find some indie disco goodness all up in the mix. Your honesty is welcomed So, enjoy and let me know what you think.

heres my second spin on it. this why i am the go to consultant with experience in mix session critique. we stand by our slogan "the beer rating is honest" it is what pays the bills.

i gave this mix 4 beers. it sounded like a mega mix for a cheerleading squad on one of those competitions on espn2 and if you wouldnt have tried to blend every record (there's usually a slam or a cool edit mix on those cheerleader routine tracks) you would have fooled the shit out of me. 2 beers for the effort. your courage is outstanding.

the other 2 beers were drank on the rewinds. the 21st century life track and that acid track at 43:25. at least a couple of times betwen the two.

on a day where life has been good for me. now im going to see both sox - white and red i hope i have made it even better for you. get some beers and get out of the dorm!

the game starts at 7:05pm cst. look for the guy with the beer.

Honestly, this is the place to put your ear to heart of the scene, you know what I am sayin'.

I just hope to get the chance to rock the decks outside of mi casa some day soon. By the way go SOX!

Thanks again Reese! Yo! What up fam let me hear from ya!

WHY CAN'T YOU DANCE? Hahaha! Awesome love that title.
