Ive been fussing around with it for a lil while now, and Ive still not
done the crate thing; everything all jumbled up in the "collection" folder.

Cant seem to figure out what or how to organize everything.

Make you a favour and test NOW how to backup your data and how to restore a backup!!!

don't do that when you have defined loop and trick on 1000 tracks....

Feel free to pm me if you're not clear with the process on mac

    WOW

GOOD Luck Barry the nightmare of all nightmares is about to begin!

I don't have tracktor but why don't you load a few tunes in at a time like your current top 40 tracks then add 20 or 30 tracks per week (that you know you are definitely gonna play) so you make sure you play what's in there every week. I dunno but it may be an easier way to handle your music. This way you get to play the few you put in each week and you get to know them too as you're actually playing them.

I've tried a 101 ways to organise my CD's now I burn the tracks as I get them each week and only burn the GOOD ones I trash any average or crap I've been sent. (I Don't keep any average or crap tracks on my computer) I then make sure I play these tracks on my show so I know them.

I force myself to play all the new stuff I like or stuff I haven't played for a long time so I don't get into the trap of playing safe and creates a more interesting set.

I am glad that I organized my CD Book in the same orders as my wax is (when it was crated).

That made crating my music on Serato super easy. I don't know how my partner loaded it but, he loaded 10 CDs per crate in Serato - which gives me 14 crates. Edits, Remixes & Reloads are in a single folder titled DJ Tools.

I really like the Serato unit since using it all year in Afghanistan but...still not willing to buy one yet.

    Goodluck on your file arrangement.
