    I'm going digital....bye bye cds.

Gonna check out Tractor(sp) for a comparison vs the Seratos.I am tired of not having shit I want at gigs...plus they have a Serato box in the booth at the monthly spot I play at,so why not.

I don't need a bunch of shit,so I'm gonna see whch one's easier for me to adapt to.I have used Serato on some mobile gigs and I just like the fact of having all of my music at my fingertips.

Still gonna do certain gigs using cd's,until I feel totally comfy, but the time has come.

Hell, most clubs are also upgrading to CDJ 2000's,so I can bring a stick drive and be good.I plan on being able to do that as well.

Jamie get the traktor. reason is it's a much more robust software and sound card.

thing is, serato software is a FREE download. c what i'm saying? you can rock both and not pay a penny for serato.

I'm glad that someone's posted this. I am considering getting Traktor or Serato and just thought that I would get an 'L' for asking..

Man,it's been discussed like crazy...but this weekend sealed the deal for me.

Just do some personal research with someone you know who has both programs and use what's most comfy for your tastes.

Travelling with 3 or 4 big ass CD books is making me think seriously about going this route as well. It's getting ridiculous and I refuse to cut back....JMJ

I used Serato and it was pretty simple. I don't know much about Tractor outside of it being a dream unit for compujocks who can't mix water with dirt & make mud.

It has trainwreck proof softwear / advanced beat detection and Sync Lock for automatic synchronization of tracks.

Itch has that feature too, I saw a DJ in Afghanistan using that feature on the NS7 unit, dude got on CDJ's with & without Serato and was lost

Actually, the dream program for that would be Virtual DJ.

Good for you bruh, continue to broaden your spectrum of knowledge. To a person who has already mastered the art of DJing...the learning curve is short and your life as a DJ becomes easier.

The brotherhood of the Seratos welcomes you.
