Anyone see these documentaries when they came through at the chicago film festival?
Revolution covers the events that led to the cou de t'at (sp?) of Hugo Chavez and his then coming back into power. It is still playing at the Landmark on Clark street and is def worth checking out. more details here:
The other is a GREAT account of the life of Jean Dominique, owner of Radio Haiti. I don't think this is released yet in the U.S. though unfortunately.
Both documentaries deal a lot with the involvement of the CIA in the political movements in these countries.
