Nah fam. I actually went to court over this. I had to lead the police to the middle of the dance floor, to a good dude I knew, and watched him get taken away in cuffs. This chick bought her friend to the club with a very good fake ID she met the dude and they ended up having sex. Somehow her parents found out and had him arrested. Some conversation would have to ensue and best believe the maturity level of said woman could be gauged pretty damned quickly. Even in spots I have been in overseas (too many various countries to name), only a fool would have sex with someone without being 100% absolutely sure she is of the age of consent. If your boy did not do his due diligence before he gutted a minor, then he got what he deserved.

Guess I'm in trouble - I'm in a relationship with someone 9 years my junior (28).

I always told myself that I would go no younger than 5 yrs my junior for much the same reason until I met her. Mental capatability is a non-issue - we have a rediculous number of things in common (from music to goals to both of us running our own businesses, etc)

HOWEVER...had I met her 7 or 8 years ago, I seriously doubt thi relationship would have happened.

in my own experience, I was 23, she was 17. She approached me at a club where I bartended. I had seen her and her best friend in the club for about a year. So they must have been going since they were 16. She had apparently been using a fake ID (and had been serving them drinks too come to think of it LOL). Not one person in that whole place would have thought she was under 20. I, on the other hand, was still getting carded until I was 32.

I asked her where she went to college. She lied and said some school in Boston. A few days later, she hung around till I got off work, and within about 20 min we were naked. She was living with her best friend, some rich chick who's parents were on permanent vacation out of NYC, and thus these two basically had their own apt in the west village.

Three weeks later, after hitting it almost daily, she confessed she was really 17, and that the college she mentioned was merely the one she would soon be attending (She was just about to graduate from high school LOL).

I was quite smitten by then, and didn't really care about the age difference. We dated casually on some booty call type shit thru the summer, she went to college, and that was pretty much that.

Moral of the story: you can definitely have sex with somebody without discerning their precise age, especially when you are young and hungry like we all were at one stage.

My point is, too often, sexual activity outside the confines of a relationship is viewed from the perspective of men's vicarious satisfaction of wanton sexual pleasure. If a female has the appearance of at least a b-cup, she's considered eligible for conquest. I, for one, have never had the urge to smash, as you cats describe. When I was younger and uninterested in the conquest, I was chided by my mates for being soft in that area.

I've never had VD, tho'. I've never had a bad reputation. I've never had some difficult truth telling to do to a good woman who was a real keeper and I've never, EVER, had the fear that I may have done something to hurt a convincing minor.

So it doesn't have anything to do with being the father of daughters. In fact, I find that God has rewarded me with two daughters and a granddaughter specifically because I was safe for the world's daughters.
