Nay...but if the promoter, door person or anyone else involved wants to hooks me up, then I got some thinking to do
All I want is the music and no one will get hurt.

No one should EVER expect to be comped and be grateful and appreciative if and when they are DJ or no.

The only party a DJ should expect to get in free is the one he is spinning at.

If its prearranged with the promoter, sure...But just to walk up unannounced and say "I'm DJ so-en-so" isnt proper......

No because I'm going to attend the party, so I should be treated as a regular customer.

IN the world of clubs, you don't get fuck all for free. In the big picture of that scene, people may borrow you favours, like you can come into my club for nothing, they'll offer what you didn't ask for, but at some point they'll be calling in that loan at some later date, If they say it's free, make sure you pay and don't sit in others pockets, My advice, be very weary of people that pretend to give, as it's usually dropped back on you later, "yeah remember when". Don't trust many people in club land, mostly they are a shallow bunch of cunts, and have the morality of jackals.

I can only speak for me and when I've given favors when I had the power to do so I expected nothing in return as a matter of fact I was at a spot Saturday and someone I'd hooked up in the past tried to walk me in but I insisted on supporting.... ended up paying a reduced

Way to do it, when you pay, you are supporting these events, good karma and all that. Some people complaining about paying £5 because they think they're someone, if you ain't got £5, fuck off home.

I work the door at a lot of parties and it always surprises me how motherfuckers will haggle with you over a door charge, then you see them in there with top-shelf beers all night.

They still fuss over paying a small fee of $10 - $20 bucks at the door. They say they are here to "support you", but then wanna get in for free

the party I worked Friday was $10 all night. This dude tries to tell me it was $5 before 10:30, which it usually is, but the flyer AND the event invite both said $10 ALL NIGHT in capital letters and it was fucking 10:55pm. Give me a break.
